What makes a game “like Worldle”
Worldle hides a country behind its silhouette and answers each guess with a distance, an arrow and a proximity percentage. A game makes this list if it passes more than one of three tests:
- Geography is the answer. You are identifying a real place, not a word.
- Every guess teaches you something. Warmer or colder, a distance, a connection — feedback that turns guessing into deduction.
- Daily and quick. A new puzzle on a schedule, finished in a few minutes.
The closest matches
Globle (official site, opens in a new tab)globle-game.com
Worldle's nearest relative. No outline at all: each wrong guess lights up on a 3D globe, hotter the closer it is, and there is no fixed number of guesses.
Travle (official site, opens in a new tab)travle.earth
Not "which country" but "which countries connect": link a start and an end by naming the places in between. It tests the neighbours Worldle's distances hint at.
Geodle (official site, opens in a new tab)geodle.me
Same daily mystery country, but the clues are demographic — population, temperature, religion — instead of a shape or a map.
The full list
Geography puzzles that share the daily rhythm, even where the clue is a photograph or a chart rather than a shape.
WhenTaken (official site, opens in a new tab)whentaken.com
A photograph, a map pin and a year slider (1860 to the present): where it was taken, and when.
TimeGuessr (official site, opens in a new tab)timeguessr.com
The same where-and-when question with historic photos. Modes: a random game, the daily, and community games.
Flagle (official site, opens in a new tab)flagle.io
Another daily geography guess, this time from a flag.
Tradle (official site, opens in a new tab)oec.world
Guess the country from a chart of what it exports. Six tries, and no map at all.
One more is worth knowing about but sits outside this list: GeoGuessr drops you into a street-view panorama and asks where you are. It is not a daily puzzle, and it is the least like Worldle here, but it trains the same skill of placing somewhere without labels.
After today’s Worldle
Worldle’s official site offers the daily puzzle, bonus rounds, a Premium archive of past puzzles and a separate Practice Mode. There is no mode on the official site called unlimited. Your options, in order of how close they stay to the original:
- Worldle’s bonus rounds and Practice Mode — see how Worldle works for what each one does.
- Globle and Travle — both have practice modes of their own; our guides to Globle and Travle explain them.
- Geodle’s Quick Play — the official site lists it as a mode for unlimited practice rounds.
How this list is ordered
By how much of Worldle’s habit each game replaces, not by popularity. Games that hide a country come first, then games that ask for a location and a date, then the rest. Every link goes to the game’s official site and opens in a new tab.
